There is a conundrum when it comes to looking and feeling good from the inside out.
If you feel good, you will exude an energy that looks good no matter what you’re wearing.
What your hair looks like or whether your body is in the shape you desire.
But, most of us get stuck not feeling good because we’re unhappy with how we look.
To build momentum, you gotta put a little effort into how you look.
Maybe you put a little make up on?
Maybe you dress a little better one day?
Or do your hair?
Get a mani/pedi or hair cut?
Taking a step or two on the outside starts to build momentum on the inside.
Then, the inner work can begin.
If you want to create life long changes, then you need to change the way that you think about your body.
And this, hot mama, is where the real magic begins.
Your thoughts create your emotions.
And, your emotions control how you feel.
How you feel directly impacts the actions you take to change your life.
If you think you’re lazy, then you’ll be unmotivated.
If you feel unmotivated, then you won’t take steps to change your reality.
To make positive, meaningful changes in your body, then you must put forth time and effort influencing the thoughts that fill your mind.
This is why the practice of yoga is a pillar of my approach to looking and feeling your best.
The art of yoga and flexibility is designed for the mind.
If you detach your attention from your day-to-day stressors, you can begin to calm the fluctuations of your mind and create new conscious and subconscious thought patterns.
And thought patterns, hot mama, are the building blocks of your actions.
Instead of telling yourself that you’re lazy, you will begin to believe you are motivated.
It’s takes practice, consistency and awareness to build this momentum.
But, the good news is that you’re here.
The momentum starts with one step.
And then another.
And if you keep putting one foot in front of another, eventually you will become what you believe based on your own creation.
